Spring is here, and so is our latest major update! We've been working hard on some exciting new features that will make your writing experience with Shy Editor even better. From quick document searches to powerful research tools and creative brainstorming - this update packs a lot of helpful improvements that we can't wait for you to try. Here's what's new in Shy Editor this spring!

Chat with PDFs

Ever spend way too much time digging through documents for that one bit of info you need? With Chat PDF on Shy Editor, you can now understand any document in seconds! Simply read through the insightful auto-generated summary, or type your questions and get precise answers from the PDF.

Deep Research

Deep Research was built for cases when your writing project needs thorough, precise, and reliable research. Shy Editor will search across the web, pull together the important information, organize it all, and give you a complete report with proper sources included. It can handle anything from 19th century fashion trends for a novel, to the latest advancements in quantum computing for a research paper.

As a bonus, the assistant chat can now use web search too.

AI Brainstorming

The AI Brainstorming feature has been re-imagined and expanded. Need ideas for something like your steampunk baking blog? (Which sounds awesome, by the way.) Just tell Shy Editor what you're looking for, and it'll throw a bunch of options your way. You can then pick the ones you liked and keep refining them until you get exactly what you need.

We also added specialized brainstorming modes for different types of projects - so whether you're working on a novel, an essay, or whatever else, the flow will actually make sense for what you're trying to do.
